Tour Local Vineyards
Montepulciano is home to the noblest of wines – Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. Vino Nobile has been a favorite among Kings, Presidents, Popes, and Nobles for centuries.
One of Tuscany’s most renowned wines, it was the first DOCG wine in all of Italy. According to DOCG rules, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano must only come from vineyards which surround Montepulciano. The wine must be aged for a minimum of 2 years – one of which must be in oak barrels, and to be labeled a riserva, the wine must be aged for a total of 3 years.

Pecorino di Pienza Cheese Tasting
Imagine walking in a charming local cheese shop. As you stroll through the shop, you choose a picnic basket and begin filling it with locally produced pecorino cheeses, cured Tuscan meats, artisan honey or jams, and then finish with a bottle of wine and bread.
